Tuesday:Back to work!

It's Tuesday; back to work day for many of you out there and that might be a bit of a shock to the system judging by the phone calls we had so far today!

Suffice to say that we are not all firing on all cylinders this morning!

Live entertainment is a bit lacking as well, we have no live music listed for today in the West Dorset and South Somerset areas.

Events today in Taunton & Bridgwater areas
Tiverton Folk Club @ The Racehorse Inn, Tiverton
Rockin' On Heavens Door @ The Brewhouse Theatre, Taunton (until 7th)

It's 'sod's law' for 98% of Britons

Apparently Sod's Law is alive and well in modern Britain (if that's not an oxymoron!).

Around 98% of Britons say they have been hit by 'sod's law' at some point, with a third claiming to have experienced it during the past week, research has showed.

Nearly half of people who claimed they had been victim of sod's law said the electricity had gone off just as they were about to watch their favourite programme, while 29% were about to cook a special meal when the cooker broke.

More than one in three people said their boiler had broken down on a really cold day and 21% said they had been locked out of their house during cold weather, according to insurer Direct Line.

Of course if you maintain your car and oil the locks now and again the bloody things would work wouldn't they?

Top Single of 2005 was...
Tony Christie's (Is This The Way To) Amarillo was the best-selling single of 2005, according to Radio 1. Christie spent seven weeks at number one with the million-selling charity song, which featured comic Peter Kay.

It beat the Christmas number one That's My Goal - rushed into production after Shayne Ward was proclaimed the winner of the X factor - into second place.

Have a fun day.
