Hot News for '80s refugees! Howard Jones To Play Taunton

Yes … THE Howard Jones … is playing an acoustic gig in his new home town, at Somerset College Atrium, Wellington Road, on Friday February 17th.

Those people who grew up in the 80s will need no reminding that Howard scored top ten hits with ‘What Is Love?’, ‘Like To Get To Know You Well’, ‘Things Can Only Get Better’ and ‘No One Is To Blame’, which also reached number 1 in the US. His album: ‘Dream Into Action’ was in the American Top 20 for almost a year and his success spread across the world. At the end of the 80s he played major tours in the US, headlining Madison Square Garden and the Forum in LA. His ‘Best Of’ album was released in 1993, taking his worldwide album sales to over 8 million.

Howard’s career has carried on since that time. He has toured with Ringo Starr and played with the likes of Greg Lake and Midge Ure. He toured the States again in 2004 and did a special one off acoustic concert with Jackson Browne in 2005.

Now, in between touring the US and Europe early in 2006, Howard is playing his only gig in the west country, in Taunton. This is your chance to see him in an intimate setting in an audience of only 300. Tickets for the concert are £15 and can be obtained from Somerset College Main Reception, or from Andy Lock on 01278 723389 / 07723 331436 – email andylock75@hotmail.com

Have a great day.
