Watch out; your iPOD might get you mugged!
Street robberies in England and Wales are growing faster than at any time for three years, police figures showed yesterday. The number of muggings rose by 11 per cent in the third quarter of last year and threaten to return to the levels before Tony Blair ordered a crackdown in 2002.

His "street crime initiative" helped to drive down muggings significantly by pouring police into 10 inner city crime hotspots. But since the money for the £80 million scheme dried up last year, the problem has returned. Police chiefs put most of the blame on the attraction of high-tech 3G mobile telephones and iPods.

Yahoo Web Awards
Yahoo has put together a list of the weird, wonderful, great and good web sites that the UK has to offer. If you click the link above it will take you to the Yahoo page. We particularly liked www.liveplasma.com it presents a graphical map on screen based on the band name, Film Director, movie or Actor that you put in. Very Funky! (It works better with well known bands though)

Today's web link
We thought we would introduce a new web link to you each day (or when we think about it!). This one will take you to cameras dotted around the tourist sites of London, including Trafalgar Square and Big Ben.

Have a fun day!
