Jazz this Saturday in Sherborne
On Saturday 14th January, the Liane Carroll Trio play at Sherborne Jazz Club. (At the Plume of Feathers)

They say;

We are really looking forward to bringing you yet another award-winning jazz event: a performance by the red hot singer and pianist Liane Carroll and her trio.Not only a regular favourite at Sherborne Jazz Club, Liane was a double winner at this year's BBC Jazz Awards.Liane is one of the most stylistically flexible pianists around, with a marvellous, slightly husky singing voice. She is enjoying considerable success with her brand of joyful, soul-infused jazz and her wicked sense of humour, and is much in demand, not least by Ronnie Scott's in London where she appears regularly.Described by Time Out as "Utterley brilliant", "The real thing" by The Independent on Sunday, and even "Highly recommended" by Michael Parkinson, Liane is one of the finest, most exciting jazz singers in the UK today, and always draws a capacity crowd on her visits to Sherborne.You are guaranteed great music from Liane who is a very fine pianist, a supreme vocal talent and last, and by no means least, fun!Tickets are £12 for non-members, £10 for members and £7 for students (with ID), and are available from Sherborne Tourist Information Office in Digby Road, Sherborne or by phoning them on 01935 815341. Accompanied under 18's are free.

For further information visit
http://www.sherbornejazz.org.uk/ or call 01935 410881.

sherbornejazz is at The Plume of Feathers, Half Moon Street, Sherborne.
Doors open just before 8.00pm with the music starting around 8:30-8.45pm until around 11:00pm.

Have a great day.
