Thursday, Moose, Music & Bacon!

There's A Drunken Moose Loose!
They rarely have problems with drunks or rowdy animals, but residents of a home for the elderly in southern Sweden had to deal with both when a pair of intoxicated moose invaded the premises.

The moose - a cow and her calf - had become drunk over the weekend by eating fermented apples they found outside the home in Sibbhult, southern Sweden, said employee Anna Karlsson.

Police managed to scare them off once, but the large mammals returned to get more of the tempting fruits.

We had the following news from the Makin Bacon Blues Band.
The Makin Bacon Blues Band - Back In The Blackmore Vale Tour
Yes, we are back in the Blackmore Vale with raucous Rhythm & Blues & traditional Rock 'n Roll.

The sad news is that our great singer Clare Perry has left us to pursue her professional singing career with the comedy duo "Mockingbirds". Good luck Clare - I'm sure you will be back with us occasionally.
The glad news is that the lovely Angie Young has taken up the torch as the band's resident diva, and that we have been joined by Rockin' Del Bates on tenor horn & keyboards.

We are back at our favourite pub, "The Antelope" at Hazelbury Bryan on Saturday November 12, and at The Crown Inn Marnhull on Friday December 2. We hope to be appearing In Blandford early in the New Year and will confirm the gig later.

Unfortunately our arrangements for New Year's Eve have fallen through so if you need live music for your New Year's Eve bash, give us a shout. As ever we are ready to play for any occasion demanding live music such as wakes, birthdays, christenings, weddings, divorces, bar mitzvahs, or remission of sentence. Contact Jit Davies on 07951 014517.

Have a great day!
