Breaks 'disturbed by work calls'
Almost half of all holidaymakers have their break interrupted by calls from work, new research has shown.
A survey of 2,000 adults for Teletext Holidays found that one in four cannot switch off entirely from their job when they are on vacation.
Two out of five even feel guilty about taking time off, with women feeling more guilty than men.
Workers often stayed late in the week running up to a break to clear their in-tray, especially in London, the poll found.
Nishma Patel, managing director of Teletext Holidays, said: "Holidays are precious and should be a chance to get away from it all - and that includes work.
"However, our research shows that holidaymakers are finding it increasingly hard to achieve this because work either looms large or is on the phone.
"Bosses and workers should look to factor in plenty of hand-over time so that people can be left alone to enjoy their well-deserved break."
Teletext Holidays suggested that workers should leave their work mobile phone at home when they go on holiday and delegate work before leaving the office.

Britons are becoming increasingly impatient as the time pressures of modern life leave people feeling stressed, research has claimed.
Two-thirds of people said they thought modern life was too stressful, while 96 per cent admitted they behaved badly because of the rush they were in to get everything done, according to online insurer swiftcover.com.
The study, which was carried out by the Future Foundation, found that 60 per cent of people had jumped or swapped queues at the supermarket and 22 per cent had even abandoned their trolley or basket full of shopping because the queue to pay for things was too long and they had run out of time.

According to the web site Ireland On Line, eighty-five-year-old actor James Doohan, who played Scotty in Star Trek and died yesterday, will be cremated and his ashes shot into space. (This is at the actor's request.)
It’s a fitting end for a man who spent the majority of his on-screen career holed up in the engineering room of the Starship Enterprise.Born in Vancouver, Canada, Doohan’s Scots brogue was created for the show. Always happy to chat with die-hard Trekkies, he spent the last few years as a regular on the convention circuit.

Yes it's time to think about this year's Mercury Prize awards that will happen on 6th September.
The runners and riders have now been named and the bookies fave looks like the Kaiser Chiefs with their album "Employment" who are ahead of "X&Y," "Silent Alarm" by rockers Bloc Party, and Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall's "Eye to the Telescope."
Rounding out the list are "I Am a Bird Now" by Antony and the Johnsons, "Stars of CCTV" by Hard-Fi, "A Certain Trigger" by Maximo Park, "Arular" by M.I.A., "Held On the Tips of Fingers" by Polar Bear, "Kitty Jay" by Seth Lakeman, "Thunder, Lighting, Strike" by the Go! Team, and the Magic Numbers' self-titled album.
Seth Lakeman is a Devon man who is shaking up the folk and traditional music scene, you can here some of his music by clicking on the link above and navigating your way to the discography section. He is especially good on the violin...not what you might be expecting from folk music...it is very good indeed!
It looks like a fairly quiet night tonight with only a few events going on.

So have you (or your kids) finished reading the latest Harry Potter book? It was expected to sell 10 million copies in the first 24 hours of launch. Some however have sneered at Potter mania and sought to put the Harry Potter phenomenon into perspective.
"Oh for a timely spell of reality," Roland White wrote in the Sunday Times.
"Let's keep things in perspective. Until Friday, the Harry Potter series had sold about 270 million copies worldwide. Which is considerably less than the one billion shifted by the late, rather unfashionable, Barbara Cartland."

Sadly this like many other Mondays is suffering from a lack of live events except...

THE CHRIS BARBER BIG BAND. Chris Barber leads his 11-piece band, with seven strong front line, playing a wide selection of his favourites from his roots in the New Orleans style, Bourbon Street Parade to the early music of Duke Ellington. It is then on to the sound Sidney Bechet and the blues of Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee. An evening of exciting Jazz and Blues music, great entertainment for all.
If the Taunton area is more interesting for you then try the Open Mic Night at the Westgate.

Who took the banners?
Tom Toomey who heads up the Music For Africa charity has been in touch today.
He asks
"Where have our Roadside Banners gone? We put 50 banners donated by IVEL FM advertising the Music for Africa Concert in YEOVIL and surrounding areas. ALL the banners in YEOVIL have been STOLEN. My Co-Ordinater Christine Newton rang up the Highways Authority on Tuesday and was told it was not their doing and was an 'ACT of VANDALISM'
In this world where not only are we trying to make POVERTY history but also MUSICAL poverty history, there are still VERY SAD individuals who are prepared to strategically try and undermine a good cause from taking place! Incredible!

The sixth Harry Potter book sets a new online sales record.
Four days before the sixth book in the Harry Potter series goes on sale officially, online book seller Amazon.com has already logged 1.4 million orders.
More than 60 per cent of the orders for 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' came in through the US based Amazon.com. The remaining sales originated from Amazon's stores in the UK, France, Germany, Canada and Japan.
It is widely believed that this will be the fastest selling book in history.

Rock group INXS has launched a reality television show to search for a new singer.
Viewers from around the globe will vote for their favourite contestant each week over the next three months.
In a similar format to Pop Idol, the three with the least votes will perform again before the remaining members of INXS choose who will get the boot.
The last man or woman standing will make an album with INXS and go on tour with the band, best known for hits such as What You Need and Need You Tonight.
But the Australian band insists it is not trying to replace lead vocalist Michael Hutchence, who died in 1997.
"What we really want is somebody who brings their own personality along and someone completely different," said guitarist Tim Farriss. "I think he'd think it was kind of funny in a good way.
"But in another way, it's really an organic way to find a new singer. It's the best way we could think of."
The eight female and seven male hopefuls, from the US, Canada and Australia, are holed up in a Hollywood mansion and their exploits will be aired on the show three nights a week in the US.
An omnibus edition will be broadcast in the UK every Sunday on VH1.

Jazz at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre
MK V JAZZ AT THE TACCHI-MORRIS
Taunton Jazz presents its final gig at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre on Wednesday 20th July with MK V. This Jazz Quintet features the music of composers such as Horace Silver, Hank Mobley, Wayne Shorter and John Schofield. The band has been playing successfully over the last three years in a variety of West Country venues. The line up is Mark Pembrey, tenor sax; Mike Peake, trumpet; Andrew Barrett, guitar; Adrian Smith, bass and Paul McGrath on drums.
Steve Elliott, the Centre Director said, “The Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre is a wonderful place to listen to jazz. We have a very comfortable bar where you can enjoy a refreshing drink on a warm evening and chill out whilst having a great time.”

Hot Nightspot news in Yeovil!
Harry's Bar (previously Stars Lane Cafe Bar) in Yeovil will be hosting live music on Thursday and Friday nights soon with a licence that allows the Bar to stay open till 2AM.
Saturday night will be DJ night whilst Wednesdays will be reserved for Jam nights. You might think that would be plenty to be going on with but there is more; there are plans to have Tuesdays as Piano Bar night and to complement this there will be a new bar area created for cocktails, shooters and similar drinks.

This Saturday (9th July) at the Yeovil Recreation Centre, (off Mudford Road) in Yeovil there will be a music extravaganza and firework spectacular to commemorate 60th anniversary of end of World War II.
Yeovil Town Council is organising the music spectacular and fireworks extravaganza.
The costs of staging the event are being met by the Big Lottery, following a successful grant application by the Town Council last year.
The event will take place during the national weekend of celebrations - on the evening of Saturday 9 July 2005 - at the Yeovil Recreation Centre. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
As well as children’s rides, a wide range of catering facilities will be available and a licensed bar will be operated. Free car parking will be available at the nearby Yeovil College.
The evening kicks off at 5.30pm with the Ivel FM roadshow. This will include live broadcasts from the event and music entertainment during the intervals.
At 7.15pm the Milford Junior School Choir take to the stage with Belinda Evans – who shot to fame when she sang at the last Rugby World Cup Final.
Following a short interval, the Wessex Big Band will appear and will play an hour of swing music to get everyone “in the mood”!
Cllr Ian Martin – Mayor of Yeovil will then make a speech and present all those who are performing at the event with a special memento to mark their involvement in this historic occasion.
At the conclusion of the presentations, the award-winning Yeovil Town Band – featuring Belinda Evans - will entertain the crowd, which is expected to top 10,000 people.
The Grand Finale will include a synchronised fireworks display with the Town Band providing the musical accompaniment.
Yeovil Rotary Club have kindly agreed to carry out a charitable collection during the event in aid of the Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen’s Families Association (SSAFA) – Forces Help. All the money collected during the event will go direct to this worthwhile charity.
The event is also being supported by the Western Gazette, which has kindly provided posters to promote the event and is producing event programmes.

Just so we know what he is talking about, this is the same "safe" weapon that is reckoned to have killed 70 people in the USA since it was launched a few years ago.

Estonians snatch world wife-carrying title again
SONKAJARVI, Finland (Reuters) - Estonia reigned supreme once again in the wife-carrying world championship on Saturday, as Margo Uusorg sprinted home to win the Baltic country's eighth straight title in the offbeat competition.
Forty couples from 10 countries gathered in the remote Finnish village of Sonkajarvi to complete a 253.5-metre-long obstacle course. A man must carry a woman, not necessarily his spouse, through a pool and across hurdles.
The few rules require a minimum weight of 49 kg (108 lb) for the "wife" and state that all contestants must have fun.
Uusorg, 25, completed the course in 59 seconds with friend Egle Soll, 23, (why not his wife? Is she a big old heifer?) clinging to his back in the trademark "Estonian Carry" -- hanging upside down with her legs clenched around his neck.
Uusorg's prizes were his partner's weight in beer and a high-tech mobile phone.
It was his fourth victory, and the third in a row for his family. Brother Madis won in 2004.
"We don't have a secret, we just try to run fast and hope the legs work," said Uusorg, who works in Stockholm as an embassy driver. He warned that the family would be even stronger contenders next year when brother number three, Urmet, takes part.
"He holds the Estonian record for the 800 metres," Uusorg said.
Uusorg and Soll received first prize from the hands of visiting U.S. basketball legend Dennis Rodman, who declined to compete, saying he lacked both a wife and proper training.
"I'm not in shape ... It could hurt the back," said the former Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons forward. But he promised to train for next year.
"I'll carry the kids around the house or something," he said.
Some 9,000 people came to view the event, set deep in forests and lakes a couple of hours' drive from the Arctic Circle. It began in 1992 as a purely Finnish contest based on local legend, according to which wife-stealing was once commonplace in the region.

Tanglefoot is also a band of adept songwriters who vividly evoke the Canadian experience. "One of Canada's most accomplished musical mythologizers," wrote Robert Reid of the Kitchener Waterloo Record. And after more than twenty years, this Canadian roots institution is stronger than ever, with their double-barrel combination of deft songwriting and exhilarating performances leading the way.
Guitarist Steve Ritchie has the longest tenure, having joined in 1988. Toronto bass player Al Parrish has been around since 1994. Terry Young came on board at the beginning of 1999 to play mandolin, guitar, banjo, harmonica and whistle. Bryan Weirmier replaced Tanglefoot's original piano player, Rob Ritchie in the summer of 2002. The newest addition is Kingston, Ontario fiddler Terry Snider, who joined in May of 2003 upon the retirement of Joe Grant.
Their media appearances include the syndicated folk radio show, The Midnight Special, The Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour in Kentucky, BBC Radio in the UK and Bound for Glory - North America's longest-running, live folk music show - in Ithaca, New York where they won the Third Annual "Best of Bound for Glory" Award. They have also appeared twice on Gabereau on the CTV Television Network, Tele-Relais on Radio-Canada in Winnipeg and on News Night Minnesota on Minnesota Public Television. The summer of 2004 saw the release of the DVD as well as Tanglefoot's first-ever appearances in Scotland as part of their eighth UK tour.

This information came in from the local Business Link team, but I figure that it may save someone the hassle of being scammed, if I let you know about it.
We have been advised of a telephone fraud currently in operation - this applies to home and work telephones, landlines and mobiles.
If you receive one of these 'rogue' calls you will hear a recorded message congratulating you on winning an all expenses trip to an exotic location. You will then be asked to press 9 to hear further details. If you press 9 you will be connected to a premium rate line that costs approximately £20 per minute . Even if you disconnect immediately, it will remain connected for a minimum of 5 minutes.
The final part of the call involves you being asked to key in your postcode and house number. After a further 2 minutes you will receive a message informing you that you are not one of the lucky winners. The total bill by then will be £100.
Since the calls are originating from outside the UK, BT and other telephone companies are left relatively powerless to act. The only safe solution is to hang up before the message prompts you to dial 9, even safer hang up on any unsolicited 'free offer calls'.
There is another scam operating on mobile phones as well. A missed call registers on your phone, the number is 0709 020 xxxx. If you call any number back beginning with '0709' you will be charged £50 per minute. This practice is completely legal.

As reported in LONDON by Reuters - The BBC apologised on Monday for outbursts of swearing by stars including Madonna at the weekend's Live 8 concerts after it received hundreds of complaints from viewers.
More than a million people watched the shows held at 10 venues across the globe on Saturday, while an estimated 2 billion tuned in via the Internet, television and radio.
The BBC, which carried live footage with no time delay, said about 350 people had complained about performers using bad language before the 9 p.m. watershed when British TV companies are committed to airing shows suitable for a family audience.
So let's see if we have this right, out of an estimated 2 billion people watching the Live8 event, 350 complained because some entertainers used rude words before 9pm.
What a bunch of cock and bull...presumably these same people knew why the event was being put on? And they were still more bothered by some swearing before 9pm than the thought of 50,000 people needlessly dying in Africa each and every day. Perhaps the Africans could oblige by only dying after 9pm!
Makes me bloody mad!

Monday is of course the day we all catch up on the email, open the dodgy looking post that arrived over the weekend and keep going with extra shots of caffeine. Or is that just us here?
It is frankly a musical dessert out there tonight although if you are American you will no doubt be celebrating your independance from the tyranical nation; Britain.
Here is some of what the founding fathers of the United States of America wrote in that declaration:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. Nothing doing tonight but...
As usual there is bugger all happening tonight (that we know about anyway).
So what else is happening?

55,000 more Live 8 tickets for fans
With less than a week to go until Live 8, 55,000 more tickets have reportedly been made available so that fans to watch the event on giant screens.
Those who lost out during the original allocation via a text message competition will now be able to enjoy the show.
Space has been made available in London's Hyde Park for extra people to watch the event on giant video screens, BBC Online reported.
Details about how the new tickets will be distributed are expected to be announced by Live 8 co-ordinator Bob Geldof. There are already plans to set up giant screens in 14 other UK cities.
Saturday's show, with an actual audience of 150,000, will include Madonna, Robbie Williams and Sir Paul McCartney. The concert will highlight poverty and debt in developing countries, just days before the leaders of the world's richest countries meet in Scotland.
Over the weekend, Geldof and Chancellor Gordon Brown joined forces to gather support for the Make Poverty History campaign.

We should have known!
Of course it was going to rain today, how could I have not remembered?
Glastonbury starts today, you have to have rain for Gastonbury! How else would we get pictures of people in mud and wellies?
I bet you could move the festival to any point in the year and it would still rain.
By the way if you don't have tickets then please don't go. The tickets sold out within hours of going on sale and there is a huge fence around the site to prevent illegal entry.
Watch the highlights on the telly instead; there won't be any mud...

Annie is the big event!
The big event tonight will be the opening of the musical show Annie at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil.
The show will run from Tuesday 21st June until Saturday 25th June nightly at 7.30pm with a Saturday Matinee at 2.30pm. The event is presented by the Yeovil Show Company with Matthew Rock as Producer and promises to be another wonderful show.

Savoy Michot Cajun Band play at South Petherton
The Savoy Michot Cajun Band will be making a welcome visit to The David Hall Arts Centre, Roundwell Street in South Petherton on Thurs 23rd June 2005 at 8pm. Bookings on Tel: 01460 240 340.
These five young Cajun musicians are dedicated to preserving the authenticity of traditional early Cajun music of Louisiana.
Led by Wilson Savoy on accordion; the 21 year old son of Marc and Ann Savoy also jamms regularly with the Cajun legends at the Savoy Music Centre in Eunice and plays in the western swing band, The Red Stick Ramblers and in The Savoy Family Band
Louis Michot has toured the world with the band Les Freres Michot from 15yrs old. Louis has performed with Ray Abshire, Merlin Fontenot, Jesse Leger, Wilson Savoy and Mitch Reed and with Cajun groups; McIlhenny’s Hot Pepper, Zack Huval’s Old Trash Pile Road, and Charivari.
Lafayette born Bobby Michot plays immaculate rhythm guitar and sings in the unique style that typifies the Cajun vocals. Playing since 1982, he formed “Les Freres Michot” with his four brothers and has toured the World with musicians such as the late Eddie Lejeune and Nonc Allie Young.
Rising Creole star Cedric Watson plays twin fiddle alongside Louie as well as playing drums. Cedric started playing the fiddle as a child. James Adams, a Houston-based DJ, mentored him and introduced him to the local Creole and Cajun community.
Ashley Wilson adds the distinctive beat on the ‘tit fer (Cajun triangle) with a style that only the real Cajuns can deliver.

Did you watch the Formula One race yesterday? What a farce! For those that missed the actual event it was the USA Grand Prix, Michelin had problems with the safety of its tyres and would not / could not guarantee that their tyres would last the race. As a result only 6 cars took part all on Bridgestone tyres, two Ferraris, two Jordans and two Minardis....guess who won.

We have been notified by Promoters, Mumbo Duck that their Folk, Blues & Jazz event that was planned for 26th till 28th August will not now be taking place.

Dislecksick: A 3 piece Punk/ska/funk band from yeovil. They started out in early April 2004. The band started with Mick on drums but he is now gone but is a great supporter of the band. The line up now is Chris on drums Ben on Bass and Joe Guitar and Vocals. They have been influenced by many bands especially Sublime, Greenday and RHCP. Blackdown Youth Folk Band: The Blackdown Folk Band was established some years ago to provide an opportunity for children of all ranges of musical ability to experience playing traditional music. Over the years it has had a variety of members, children and adults, and has played at fetes, concerts, folk clubs and festivals. Our music is mostly learnt by ear, everyone contributes to the arrangements - we just love playing!
The Ceilidh Cruisers: A young people's Folk Band, based in Crewkerne (hence the name), who play for Barn Dances and Ceilidhs. Ages range from 10 to 16 and instruments can include Fiddles, Flutes, Melodeon, Harp, Cello, Viola, Dumbek (A North African drum), Accordion and Guitar. ePIMP (eBay) ends Live 8 ticket sale after Geldof jibe
LONDON (Reuters) - Internet auction site eBay ended a sale of free Live 8 tickets on Tuesday after Bob Geldof, the organiser of the awareness-raising concerts, labelled the site an "electronic pimp" and urged people to swamp it.
Tickets to the star-studded London show, which aims to pressure world leaders into fighting poverty in Africa, were given away to the winners of a text lottery. But they immediately started appearing on eBay for hundreds of pounds.
Geldof criticised the site and urged people to swamp it with bogus offers of tickets or massively inflated bids.
"What I would ask you to do tonight is to get on eBay and mess up the system," he told Sky News.
"Everyone should go on and pretend they have got tickets for Live 8 ... otherwise go on and bid ridiculous amounts of money for the tickets already on the site," said the feisty Irish rocker.
His appeal did not go unheeded. Within minutes bids which had been running in the hundreds of pounds surged to 10 million pounds.

Advance Gigs at Yeovil Labour Club again?
It looks almost certain that there will be occasional Advance Promotions gig at Yeovil Labour Club again. The first one is planned for Friday the 1st of July and will probably happen at least once a month.
This date was confirmed but now it appears that Will Blake will need to meet with the committee to finalise details.
The Days In December / Firstborn / Che / The Cedar Falls gig on July 1st will almost certainly be at the Labour Club but please check with the website or people a week before.
The tickets say Flicks Bar on them but that because they were printed weeks before this was decided.

According to a story on Yahoo pissing pussies can be bad news: TOKYO (Reuters) - Two kittens picked the wrong place to relieve themselves when they urinated on a fax machine, sparking a fire that extensively damaged their Japanese owner's house.
Investigators in the western city of Kobe have concluded that the fire in January was caused by a spark generated when the urine soaked the machine's electrical printing mechanism.
The fire damaged the kitchen and living room before it was put out by the house's owner, who was treated for mild smoke inhalation, said Masahito Oyabu, a fireman at the Nagata fire station in central Kobe.
The kittens quickly ran to safety, he added.
"If you have a cat, or a dog for that matter, be careful where they urinate," Oyabu said. "Especially keep them away from electrical appliances and wires."

According to a story on Yahoo pissing pussies can be bad news: TOKYO (Reuters) - Two kittens picked the wrong place to relieve themselves when they urinated on a fax machine, sparking a fire that extensively damaged their Japanese owner's house.
Investigators in the western city of Kobe have concluded that the fire in January was caused by a spark generated when the urine soaked the machine's electrical printing mechanism.
The fire damaged the kitchen and living room before it was put out by the house's owner, who was treated for mild smoke inhalation, said Masahito Oyabu, a fireman at the Nagata fire station in central Kobe.
The kittens quickly ran to safety, he added.
"If you have a cat, or a dog for that matter, be careful where they urinate," Oyabu said. "Especially keep them away from electrical appliances and wires."

Did you have a great weekend? We hope so because there five days till the next one!
Mondays are normally pretty quiety and we aren't go to buck the trend today...nothing going in South Somerset or West Dorset tonight and just the Open Mic night at the Westgate in Taunton for you to enjoy.
However we can take this opportunity to tell you about the Beaminster Festival that starts later this month.
This will be the 10th Beaminster Festival of Music and Visual Arts. In celebration they have a performance and visual extravaganza, with more events than ever.
Headlining this year’s Festival is Nicola Benedetti, the brilliant young virtuoso violinist and 2004 BBC Young Musician of the Year, who is taking the music world by storm.
Musical and performance highlights include Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall who kick-starts the celebrations, accompanied by a mouth watering hog roast, and the sounds of Mukka,described as the sensation of Glastonbury; an open air production of ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’; the Sorrel Quartet; Billy Bragg and his Band; and as a grand finale, music and dance from the exotic Kissmet and a spectacular firework display.
The Visual Arts boasts nine separate venues, including an exhibition of 27 painters, potters and textile designers in the Public Hall, and at weekends an eclectic display of woodworkers, furniture designers, metalworkers, ceramists and sculptors in Beaminster House.

We just discovered that there will be a live jazz event at 8pm in the Phelips Arms in Montacute tonight. We aren't sure who is playing so give them a call to find out more!

ELLIOTT RANDALL & CHRIS JAGGER
Elliott Randall – Steely Dan’ premier guitarist – whose guitar solos on Steely Dan's "Reelin' In The Years" and "Fame" (the motion picture) have entered Rock history annals – will be making a special guest appearance in Ben Water’s set at Sherborne Castle on Saturday, 11th June.
Elliott has recorded and performed with artists as diverse as The Doobie Brothers, Carly Simon, Seatrain, The Blues Brothers, Carl Wilson, Peter Wolf, Peter Frampton, James Galway, Richie Havens, The Rochester Philharmonic and The American Symphony Orchestra, among many others.
He is currently recording a new CD in London, New York, and Ireland which blends together Celtic, Afro-Cuban and other global musical influences.
But Ben wasn’t content to invite one mate along to the party – he’s invited two!
Chris Jagger has been singing and playing from an early age, turned on by many of the same influences as Mick (and contributing to two Stones albums ‘Dirty work’ and ‘Steel Wheels’) but it was the release of the album 'Atcha' in 1994 that Chris established his musical identity and plotted a course that combines Chris's interest in Zydeco, Cajun and Country with the underlying strands of R'n'B, Rock and World music.
In 1996 Chris recorded an acoustic album with long term associates Ben Waters and Charlie Hart and recently Chris, Charlie Hart and Ben Waters appeared on BBC Radio 3’s Andy Kershaw Show and Radio 4's Ned Sherrin’s Loose Ends.

Not much local live music on today in South Somerset & West Dorset but here's what there is.

Crazy 88 @ Porter Blacks, Yeovil
We managed to catch Crawfish playing at the Swan Hotel in Crewkerne on Friday. They played some great blues driven rock music (love the harp) but sadly the pub was not packed out. Come on Crewkerne music lovers, support your local venues!
On the same night we caught the second set from Loose Connections who were playing at the Fleur De Lys in Stoke Sub Hambdon. There'e not a huge amount of room in the bar and the place was filled almost to overflowing. The band seemed to be rocking along very nicely even though they probably felt as if they were playing in the middle of a crowd scene!

As Suited and Booted grows bigger each month its becomes more difficult to manage all the paperwork needed to make it happen. So we are looking for a Self Employed Book Keeper to help us out.
A few hours work each month ought to do it but flexibility of work hours will be key.
So if you are:
Sage software savvy
Compter literate
Have worked at establishing accounting systems
Enjoy flexible working
and possibly enjoy music!

Life has been mega busy over the last few months and as a consequence the blog has suffered.
