Thursday Music, Cows & Beer

Many of you should by now have seen the April edition of Suited and Booted. If your fave venue does not have it yet then fear not it will within the next two days.

If there is an event tonight that needs your support it's Gothic Chicken playing at the White Hart in Crewkerne. It should be a great night out and there is in our opinion far too little music in Crewkerne!

Events today in South Somerset & West Dorset
Gothic Chicken @ White Hart, Crewkerne
Country Legends (show) @ Octagon Theatre, Yeovil
The Crack @ Harry's Bar, Yeovil

Events today in Taunton & Bridgwater area
Ludus Dance Company @ Tacchi Morris Arts Centre, Taunton
Neil Inness @ SCAT Atrium, Taunton
Barrett & Hearnshaw @ Brewhouse Theatre, Taunton

The Power Of Beer - Lottie's brew
A farmer was toasting the health of a cow which made a wonder recovery after being treated with beer.

Tony Baskett and his wife Lavender, who are both in their seventies and live in Theberton, Suffolk, feared that their cow, Lottie, would die after she developed a stomach problem.

But a vet suggested treating Lottie with yeast - so Mr Baskett fed her Adnams beer from a bottle.

Now Lottie has made a full recovery and given birth to a calf which the family have named Adnams.

You know it makes sense!

Enjoy the music
