One of America’s premier Old Time bands, Orpheus Supertones play a mix of traditional American fiddle tunes, banjo tunes and ballads from Appalachia and beyond. They were recommended to the Arts Centre by The Gathering – and recommendations don’t come much higher!

Orpheus Supertones playing this Saturday at Bridgwater Arts Centre

This four piece band consists of Walt Koken, 5-string banjoist and former fiddler player with the legendary Highwood’s String Band, player and collector of traditional American fiddle tunes Clare Milliner, singer and guitarist Kellie Allen and guitarist Pete Peterson, a mainstay of the east coast old-time scene for over 40 years. Between them, Orpheus Supertones have an immense depth of knowledge of old-time and many, many years’ experience of playing. Their love and enjoyment of the music shines through to create an unmissable live show. Tickets available from Bridgwater Arts Centre, click the headline above to follow the link to their web site. £8; £7 conc; £6 members. Or follow this
