Mercury contender at South Petherton

Seth Lakeman's album, Kitty Jay, was short-listed for the Nationwide Mercury Music Prize 2005 in London on September 10th and earned the enthusiastic comment: "What a fantastic talent!" from Jules Holland, who was one of the judges.  The 28-year-old folk singer from Dartmoor was also nominated for Best Original Song with Kitty Jay, and for Best Newcomer, in the 2005 BBC Folk Acoustic Awards.

Now Seth is going to The David Hall in South Petherton, where lucky local fans can see this outstanding young musician playing with his Trio on Saturday 29th October.  It is sure to be a sell out gig so if you want to be there, call 01460 240 340 and book right away!
