Thursday, Games & Music

You thought that those childish games of Rock, Scissor Paper were a waste of time?
A Canadian has been crowned World Rock Paper Scissors champion.

Andrew Bergel, 29, a Toronto lawyer, thrilled his hometown crowd with a winning throw of paper to take the gold medal and the £5,000 first prize. Bergel defeated California student Stan Long, who received £1,000 for his second-place finish.

About 500 competitors took part from as far away as Australia, New Zealand, Norway, the United Kingdom, as well as 26 US states and five provinces.

Those of you who are wondering about a Spoof championship need wonder no more. The current world Champion is famed Chef Marco Pierre White.
