November reminder, Christmas! & live music

November deadline approaching
Those of you out there you are either in a band or are running a venue should be getting your November listings to us. A big thank you to those who have already done so! The deadline is 19th October...just a few days away!

Christmas is coming

Sorry but there is no getting away from the fact that the Christmas 'Season' will soon be with us. The crackers and Christmas pies are in the supermarkets next to the reduced in price bags of bar-b-q charcoal. We even saw a Christmas tree in the entrance to Chicago Rock Cafe!

So this is to remind everyone that as ever, the Christmas edition of Suited and Booted will cover both December & January. There is no separate January edition; which means that we will need to know about your January events by mid November latest!

Fancy A Roller? Mercury's 'Roller' goes up for sale
Freddie Mercury's silver Rolls-Royce is being auctioned on eBay by the late Queen star's sister.
Bids for the Silver Shadow luxury motor have already hit £7,900.

Unusually, the car comes with a Kleenex Mansize Tissues box containing the rock legend's unused tissues. As the flamboyant singer always kept a box in the car, his sister Kash could not bring herself to remove them when she was given the Rolls-Royce.

The 1974 model has a grey leather interior with wood trim. The British car also contains a car phone and a radio cassette player.

The car's last public appearance was in May 2002, at the London premiere of the Queen musical We Will Rock You - when it transported Mercury's family to the Dominion Theatre in London's West End. It has been in occasional use since the lead singer and main songwriter of Queen died in 1991, at the age of 45.

A have a rockin' and rollin' day!
